Leda manufactures a range of customised solid wall pipes for customers throughout New Zealand.

From our modern plant based in Upper Hutt we specialise in the manufacture of small, single layer pipes. We offer both metric and imperial sizes, up to 100mm in diameter.

We can offer you pipes made from various thermoplastics including:

  • PA12 – Nylon
  • ABS – Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene
  • PP – Polypropylene
  • MDPE – Polyethylene Medium Density
  • HDPE – Polyethylene high Density
  • PVC – Polyvinyl Chloride

Pipes from Leda are bespoke and are manufactured to meet your needs, including custom lengths and colours.

Pipe Solutions

Nylon

Nylon pipe is suitable for the transfer of fuels, oils and lubricants and offers a great alternative for compressed air situations. It is capable of withstanding temperatures and pressures well in excess of normal working conditions. Excellent fatigue resistance.

ABS

ABS pipe is the pipe of choice for systems that use a cold or below freezing fluid, such as glycol circuits, chilled water and ice related systems. It has a wide operational temperature range, from -40 Degrees to +70 Degrees. It offers a very smooth bore resulting in low frictional losses. ABS offers very non corrodible properties and is a tough and durable pipe. This product can be joined using solvent.

Clear PVC

Clear plastic pipes are only available in PVC. These pipes are most often used for viewing liquids in process, sampling or as sight glasses. Like all PVC plastic pipe, they can be joined using solvent cement applied to both pipe and socket, although care must be taken not to spill the cement on the pipe as it will affect its clarity.

Polypropylene

Polypropylene has one of the highest chemical resistant ratings in the plastics industry. The pipes are resistant to corrosion and are much lighter weight than metal. They can be used in a number of applications including chiller installations, radiant and cooling systems, dairy products and laboratory. Polypropylene pipes can be joined using heat fusion welding.

MDPE

MDPE is a great option for long runs of small-bore pipe. It is very tough, meaning it can be buried. Often used for cold water and waste water applications. We can supply this in multiple colours, cut lengths or coils. These pipes are typically joined with compression fittings, not cement or glue.

HDPE

HDPE pipes are available for pressure and non-pressure applications. HDPE offers great impact strength, it’s lightweight and has excellent chemical resistance. Applications include infrastructure, industrial, waste and water systems. These pipes can be welded via butt or electrofusion. HDPE is a great environmental choice and is fully recyclable.
